Beach WA 1973 is separated from the northern end of beach WA 1972 by a 200 m long low red bluff. The bluff continues all the way to the point, with the 2 km long southwest-facing crenulate beach consisting of discontinuous section of high tide sand fronted by upper intertidal rock flats grading into lower intertidal mixture of sand flats and scattered rocks.
