Beaches WA 2001 and 2002 occupy the shore of Black Rock Point, a 15 m high dune-capped calcarenite point. Beach WA 2001 is a curving 500 m long, north-facing, narrow high tide beach, fronted by irregular rocks flats grading into 800 m wide tidal flats. It is backed by a semi-stable, 50 m wide foredune.
