Beach WA 2004 is a 1.7 km long low series of recurved spits, that extends north from the end of beach WA 2003. The spits have prograded across the southern end of an 8 km wide shallow inner section of Lagrange embayment, drained by Gururu Creek in the centre. The spit splays and widens to 300 m to the north. They are backed by 1 km wide salt flats, while tidal sand and mud flats extends up to 2 km into Lagrange Bay.
