Beach WA 2007 is a 900 m long low, narrow active sandy recurved spit that supplies sand to the northern side of the creek area. It is prone to overwashing and backed by a mangrove-filled intertidal depression, then two inner barrier and salt flats all extending 2.5 km inland, then the inner floodplain, which extends east for another 8 km.
