Beach WA 2012 is located 1 km west of the cape at the western side of the calcarenite-controlled of the entrance to False Cape Creek (Fig. 4.425). The 600 m long beach is fronted by continuous 100-200 m wide intertidal rock flats, then the tidal channel along the eastern half of the beach. The calcarenite reefs on the northern side of the channel form a natural breakwater for the entrance. At low tide however the channel between the reefs narrows to less than 50 m. The beach is backed by a continuation of the semi-stable parabolic dunes that extend east of the cape to the creek, with three blowouts behind the eastern half of the beach.
Beach Length: 0.6km
General Hazard Rating: 3/10
