The car park is shared with beach K 13 which is located on the southern tip of the point. This 200 m long beach has sloping high tide beachrock and sandstone rocks and reefs exposed at high tide with sand in the centre. It also has a boat ramp located across the only section free of low tide rocks, with deeper water and scattered rock reefs, including Bittern Rock, off the end of the beach. These two ramps are the most popular launching location, through they are exposed to strong southeasterlies.
