Beach WA 2044 continues east of the dividing arm for 200 m to a 20 m high bluffed headland. Wave energy increases slightly along the beach as the sand flats transform to a narrower ultradissipative beach by the headland. It is backed by 20 m high red bluffs, capped by another 20 m of truncated red Pleistocene transgressive sand dune.
