Beach WA 821 is a similar 80 m long beach located on the western side of the boat ramps. They are sheltered by the harbour walls and only receive low wind waves. Both beaches are fronted by sand flats, which are occasionally dredged for navigation. Boats are common on and just off the beaches. A large car and boat trailer park, boat storage, the Cockburn Power Boat Association and Sea Rescue are all located on the flat area behind the beaches.
