Beach K 150 is a 2.8 km long relatively straight northeast-facing strip of high tide sand, bordered by two small protruding tidal creeks, with bluffs backing the centre of the beach. It is fronted by 2.5 km wide sand to mud flats. Beach K 151 commences on the southern side of the southern creek mouth and trends south for 3 km to a 1.5 km long recurved spit opposite Malaburra Spring. The beach is backed for the most part by 10 m high bluffs, with sand spits to either end. Sand to mud flats extend 1-2 km off the beach.
