Beach WA 1950 is located 3 km east of Cape Blaze in the western mangrove-lined embayment. It is a 300 m long strip of high tide sand in an opening in the otherwise mangrove-dominated embayment shoreline. It is backed by a low foredune, bordered by mangroves and fronted by 400 m wide tidal flats. Banningarra Creek enters the bay 1 km south of the beach.
