Beach WA 1964 commences at the Red Hill calcarenite bluffs and trends to the northeast for 4.1 km. The entire rear of the beach is dominated by outcropping 3-5 m high red calcarenite bluffs, together with calcarenite-beachrock in the upper intertidal. The calcarenite is fronted by the same low gradient upper and lower intertidal ultradissipative beach, with entire intertidal system up to several hundred metres wide.
