Beach WA 1947 is a crenulate northwest-facing high tide sand beach that extends from the small tidal creek to the low calcarenite bluffs of Red Point. The sand flats narrow towards the point, with mud flats extending 1 km seaward of the point. A vehicle track terminates at the bluffs at the northern end of the beach.
