Beach WA 1948 commences 1 km east of the point at the end of the low bluffs, and continues to the northeast for 6.5 km to a small tidal creek. One kilometre wide mud flats parallel the beach all the way to the creek. It is backed by a 1-2 km wide barrier systems, with some minor foredune activity (Fig. 4.412), then a series of wide foredune-recurved spits, the spits all trending to the northeast. A vehicle track parallels the beach 500 m inland.
