Beach WA 143 is located in between the southern side of the 200 m wide head and a smaller wave-washed granite outcrop. The beach is 150 m long and with beach WA 144 forms the eastern side of a tombolo that links the rocks to the head. The beach faces southeast and receives moderate protection from the bordering rocks and rock reefs, with waves breaking over the reefs, and reducing to less than 1 m at the shore. While a continuous bar and lower wave dominate the beach, the small embayment is drained by a permanent rip that runs out through the reefs. There is a car park at the base of the head adjacent to the northern end of the beach.
