Kennedys Beach (WA 91) extends for 1.2 m to the west-southwest and is bounded by low sloping 1 km long section of rocky shore. Wave height drops to less than 1.5 m owing to sheltering of offshore islands. They maintain a 50 m wide surf zone usually cut by two beach rips, together with permanent boundary rips. It is backed by an active foredune and blowouts extending up to 100 m inland, then dense coastal heath, an a low granite dome behind the western end.
