Beach WA 92 is a transitory pocket of intertidal sand, which accumulated in a gap in the rocks that extend for 1 km west of beach WA 92. The beach is centred on the narrow 20 m wide gap in the rocks, which is backed by a small but active foredune. The beach expands along the front of rocks for 100 m during periods of below average waves. Periods of high waves however wash much of the beach away. While waves average about 1 m, which is a hazardous place to swim owing to the rocks.
