Thomas Fishery beach (WA 72) commences at the southern end of a 1 km long section of bedrock that separates it from beach WA 71. The beach is 250 m long, faces east and curves between the bedrock and a small, partly vegetated, rocky point and reefs. The beach is protected by its orientation, the point and inshore rock reefs, and consist of a narrow reflective beach dominated by the bordering low sloping bedrock and extensive bedrock reefs which fill the small bay. The vehicle track leads to the eastern end of the beach where a few campsites are located. Mount Arid rises to 357 m, 2 km northwest of the beach.
