Beach WA 126 is located 300 m to the south and is a 150 m long reflective beach wedged between a bare granite points and rocks. It is backed by dense wind swept vegetation, and fronted by a seagrass and rock littered foreshore, including some extensive rock reefs. Both beaches can be accessed on foot from the southern end of the bay access road. Mississippi Point is a prominent 60 m high granite headland, located 2 km east of 178 m high Mississippi Hill. This substantial granite outcrop forms the eastern boundary of a 17 km long section of high sloping granite shore, backed by a series of granite domes reaching 250 m at Frenchman Peak and 345 m at Mount Le Grande, and terminating in the west at Cape Le Grande. In between are 12 rock bound beaches. The first two (WA 127& 128) lie either side of Mississippi Point, and are accessible only on foot.
