Beach WA 107 faces northeast and curves for 1.4 km between the headland and the granite point in lee of Nares Island. It is a very low energy reflective beach, with seagrass growing to the shore and usually covered in seagrass debris. There is vehicle access to a small car park and camping area at the eastern end of the beach. It is also used by professional fishermen for launching and storing small boats. Hammer Head is a prominent 75 m high granite dome located 2 km south of Mount Belches. Between the head and mount are three other granite outcrops, which between them impound seven small, relatively protected, pure quartz beaches. There is vehicle access to the northern two beaches (WA 108 and 114), with the remainder only accessible on foot. Beaches WA 108 and 109 occupy the eastern side of the head, while beaches WA 110 to 114 are located along the western side extending to the slopes of Mount Belches..
