Beach WA 181 is an 800 m long south-facing beach with beachrock reef and rocks dominating the lower beach, with a sandy bar beyond. Waves average about 1.5 m and maintain three permanent rips. It is bordered by gneiss headland and backed by 30 m high vegetated calcarenite bluffs.
