beach WA 165, which lies 1 km north of the head and is a 250 m long strip of east-facing sand also fronted by continuous 50 m wide rock flats and rocks, with waves averaging about 1-1.5 m. It receives sand form beach WA 167, which blows across the 200 m wide head. Beaches WA 166 and 167 occupy parts of the 1 km long western side of the head.
