Beach WA 201 commences just west of the Margaret Cove headland and trends west for 1.8 km to a band of bedrock. The beach receives waves averaging over 1.5 m, which break across discontinuous beachrock reefs present in the surf the entire length of the beach. While the beachrock forms calmer 'lagoon’ sections close to shore, it also maintains four permanent rips draining the surf and lagoons, as well as rocks present through the surf. It is backed by a steep narrow beach, a high partly unstable foredune, and then vegetated Holocene dunes over Pleistocene calcarenite, all extending 1-2 km inland to Margaret Cove and the Torradup River.
Beach Length: 1.8km
General Hazard Rating: 9/10
