Beach WA 190 commences on the western side of the inlet mouth and is joined to beach WA 189 when the inlet is closed. The beach trends to the southwest for 600 m to a sandy foreland formed in lee of a shore-parallel beachrock reef. This reef and a second outer reef parallels the beach, reducing waves to less than 1 m at the shore, which maintain a moderately steep reflective beach. Beware when the inlet is open, as strong tidal current flow past the beach, together with water flowing offshore through gaps in the reefs.
