Beach WA 98 is a curving, south-facing, 1.5 km long beach, bounded by a low granite headland and rock reefs in the east, and a domed granite headland that protrudes 500 m south, to the west. The beach receive moderate waves averaging about 1.5 m in the centre where they maintain a few beach rips, with lowers waves and a continuous bar to either end. It is backed by a well developed scarped foredune, then a series of well vegetated parabolic dunes extending up to 1 km to the northeast. A vehicle track from the Alexander Bay access road reaches the western end of the beach.
