Beach WA 24 commences on the western side of the rocks and curves round for 1.7 km trending south against the next more substantial 200 m long low rocky section. Despite the southerly orientation of most of the beach, it is well protected by a continuation of the 1-2 km wide low gradient sand flats that extends around the southern end of Bilbunya beach extending the length of beach WA 24, narrowing to a few hundred metres against the western rocks. Waves attenuate across the sand flats, and seagrass debris is piled wide and high along much of the low gradient beach. The beach is backed by a low vegetated 100-200 m wide foredune, then a shallow lagoon. There is vehicle access to the western end, with the main track running along behind the lagoon.
Beach Length: 1.7km
General Hazard Rating: 1/10
