Beach WA 1606 extends from the southern side of the foreland for 4.2 km to a 500 m long section of low calcarenite bluffs. The Bundegi car park, small jetty and boat ramp is located just south of the foreland, with boats usually moored off the jetty in a small lagoon between the reef and shore. The fringing reef continues to the south paralleling the beach 500 m offshore in the north and widening to 1 km in the south. The Point Murat road parallels the beach 500 m inland, with low dunes and salt flats between the beach and road.
