Beach WA 1599 commences at the head and trends east for 500 m to a 100 m long section of low beachrock bluffs. The beach is backed by a blowout that extends 100 m inland to the edge of the Yardie Creek road. Waves averaging about 0.5 m arrive at the beach after transgressing the fringing reefs. The Vlaming Head lefthand surfing break is located on the outer edge of the reef directly north of the head. The Lighthouse caravan park is located across the road opposite the eastern end of the beach.
