The small power station beach (WA 817) is an 80 m long strip of sand located between the two 100 m long groynes-water inlets of the power station. Water is taken in and discharged through these structures, which places the beach off-limits to the public. The large power station is located immediately behind the beach. There is access to the centre of the beach at the end of Barter Road.
