Beach WA 1928 commences at the point and trends east for 700 m before the mangroves take over and dominate the shoreline to the east. The nature and shape of the beach is affected by tidal and occasional river flows and changes from year to year. It is backed by a 500 m wide series of foredune ridges rising to 11 m at the point, which grade east into the cheniers.
