Beach WA 1866 is located at the mouth of a 50 m wide tidal creek. The creek meanders along the front of the 340 m long beach before turning and heading seaward. The beach is fringed by mangroves to either side and backed by a low partly vegetated sand spit. A 300 m long section of mangroves separate it from beach WA 1867 that continues the beach and barrier north towards the cape. This is a 1.3 km long west-facing high tide beach, with mangroves to either end. It is backed by a mixture of partly active low dunes, vegetated dunes and a blocked creek mouth, while tidal flats extend 1.5 km to the west.
Beach Length: 0.35km
