Beach WA 1872 is a curving 500 m long beach located in the creek mouth. It faces northwest across the deep tidal channel, and is backed by a low foredune, then some active dune transgression extending up to 200 m inland. Patches of calcarenite extend across the eastern side of the creek mouth, then comprise the mainland for 2.5 km until the start of beach WA 1873.
