The only beach on the island is located along the first 1 km of the recurved spit. Finucare beach (WA 1894) is a 1 km long low energy beach that curves west from Hunt Point to finally faces south, with a 600 m long jetty extending into the harbour from the southern end. The beach is moderately steep and fronted 200-300 m wide tidal flats then the main harbour channel. The southern half of the beach is backed by iron ore stockpiles, with a foredune increasing in height towards the northern end of the beach. There is vehicle access to the beach from Finucare.
