Beach WA 1906 occupies a 2.1 km long Holocene recurved spit that forms the western end of the island and the eastern boundary of a 500 m wide tidal creek, with beach WA 1905 located 1 km to the west. The beach faces northwest across 200-300 m wide sand flats. It is backed by 100-300 m wide, multiple recurved spits then a mangrove-lined tidal creek. Mangroves increase on the flats towards its eastern boundary, a low calcarenite point.
