WA 257 continues west on the other side of the inlet for another 1.5 km. It is free of rocks and usually has 3-4 beach rips, before wave height decreases into the western corner, in lee of a linear reef that projects eastward and separates it from the next beach. Both beaches are backed by a 10-20 m high foredunes. The inlet mouth is deflected along the western kilometer of beach WA 256, and breaks out across a 100 m wide section of bare sand that separates the two beaches.
