Beach WA 233 occupies more than half the bay shore. The 2 km long beach faces south and receives waves averaging up to 1.5 m, which break across a 50 m wide rip dominated surf zone, with usually 4-5 active beach and reef bound rips. A 20 m high partly stable foredune backs the beach, which is bordered by low gneiss points, as well as some rock outcropping along the beach.
