Beach WA 239 is separated from beach WA 238 by a 1 km long section of scarped calcarenite, with the dune continuing behind. The beach is 1.6 km long with waves averaging about 1 m. They break across a near continuous beachrock reef that lies at and off the shoreline, forming elongate lagoon when off the beach, with some strong rips exiting through gaps in the reefs. A scarped 20 m high foredune backs the beach. At the western end of the beach is an 80 m long section of rocks that separates it from 300 m long beach
