Whale Bay beach WA 255 commences at the foreland and curves round to the northwest then west for 5.9 km to a sandy foreland. For the most part the beach is well protected by shallow reefs and sandy sea floor, resulting in a steep reflective beach, together with some rocks outcropping toward the western end. It is backed by a well vegetated 10 m high foredune, backed by a few foredune ridges. The eastern section of the beach was subdivided in the late 1990’s.
Beach Length: 5.9km
