Beach WA 220 commences on the western side of the reef-tied foreland, and curves to the southwest for 2.2 km to terminate at a prominent reef foreland, with larger reefs extending up to 2 km offshore. The slight eastern orientation of the beach and the reef lower waves towards the western end where they average about 1 m. The beach is cut by rips in the east, grading to a continuous low tide terrace in the west. The backing 10-20 m high foredune, while steep and scarped in places, is generally moderately stable and backed by 500 m wide densely vegetated dunes. A series of four circular lakes (Parriup) occupy the 1.5 km wide back-barrier depression behind the beaches WA 220 and 221.
Beach Length: 2.2km
General Hazard Rating: 6/10
