Beach WA 209 commences on the western side of the rocks and trends to the southeast for 2.7 km curving round in the south to face east. The beach is moderately protected with waves averaging less than 1.5 m and decreasing to the south. Rips occasionally form along the eastern section of beach, with a more continuous narrow bar to reflective conditions along the western section. It is backed by a low narrow vegetated foredune and bounded in the south by a 700 m long low rocky platform.
