A 200 m wide creek mouth separates it from beach K 1360, the easternmost in the Kimberley. This is a 6 km long series of recurved spits that are slowly migrating to the east, causing erosion of the western end. In addition there is some minor dune activity toward the central-eastern end, with two blowouts extending 300 m inland and to heights of 16 m. The eastern end of the barrier consists of a series of seven splayed recurved spits that extend up to 2 km inland. They are backed by more than 20 km of salt flats and fronted by 300-400 m wide mud flats with tidal creeks to either end. To the east of the eastern creek are 10 km of shoreline dominated by tidal creeks, mangroves and mud flats, which extend to the Northern Territory border, with the next beach (NT 1) beginning just inside the Northern Territory border.
