Beach K 1078 lies around the corner from beach K 1077 and occupies the mouth of a 500 m wide shallow embayment. The curving 600 m long beach blocks the bay forming a 200 m wide beach ridge capped barrier, backed by a 300 m wide salt flats filled lagoon, drained by a southern mangrove-lined creek. Sand then reef flats extend 1.5 km off the beach into the bay, narrowing the bay entrance to 1 km at low tide.
