Beach K 1276 is located 1 km due west of Eric Island. The beach is 1.4 km long, faces northeast and has a slightly convex southern foreland owing to wave refraction around the island. The beach is exposed to easterly waves averaging up to 1 m which maintain a continuous low tide bar, backed by active dunes blowing off the beach and extending up to 600 m inland and climbing up onto the backing 40 m high sandstone slopes. A joint-controlled creek drains along the back of the northern dunes, crossing the northern end of the beach, with sloping sandstone to either end of the beach.
