Beach K 1324 occupies the base of a 4.5 km wide north-facing embayment at the foot of 178 m high Hope Hill. The 2.7 km long low gradient beach commences in the west as a low gradient sandy ultradissipative beach exposed to waves averaging about 1 m. To the east it becomes fronted by intertidal rock flats and the sand gives way to a high tide boulder beach. The beach is backed by a foredune rising to 6 m, then by steep slopes rising to Hope Hill in the centre and 166 km high Faith Hill to the east.
