WA 419 is a curving 600 m long high tide beach, fronted by a continuous 40 m wide beachrock reef, which forms a small lagoon in the east, while rocks are piled to the rear in the west. The Gap Road runs along the bluffs to western end of the beach, to a 70 m high clifftop car park with steep foot access down to the beaches. The Gap and Natural Bridge are located 500 m west of the beach. At Cave Point the shoreline turns and trends west-northwest for 20 km to Hanging Rock headland. In between is one of the more exposed, high-energy sections of the South Coast, with high waves breaking on reef-dominated beaches at the base of 100 m high cliffs.
