Beach WA 365 is a 200 m long exposed beach located at the base of steep, vegetated 100 m high slopes, with a steep foot track to the beach. The beach is wedged in between sloping granite, with some rocks also in the inner surf zone. Waves break across a 100 m wide surf zone, with a permanent rip exiting against the western rocks.intertidal band of beachrock, then a 100 m wide surf zone, with a permanent rip against the eastern point. It is backed by steep, vegetated 60 m high slopes, with the vehicle track terminating on the centre of the slopes, and a steep foot track down to the beach. Four kilometres west of the beach is the downed mouth of the Waychinicup River. The rocky mouth is 100 m wide at its entrance. It winds inland for 600 m as a deep inlet and anchorage. A vehicle track terminates a camping area on the western side of the river. Normans and Bettys beaches (WA 366 & 367) are two adjoining sand beaches divided by the usually closed entrance to Normans Lake (Fig. 4.89). Normans Beach commences as the rocky shoreline surrounding Mount Many Peaks then gives way to a series of embayed beaches and high granite headlands that continue to Albany, 30 km to the west.
