Emu Beach (WA 398) commences at the southern end of the training wall, faces south and curves for 400 m to a sand foreland in the lee of a second breakwater that attaches it to the shore. In between is a usually calm curving reflective beach. However beware of strong tidal current flowing in the deep channel outside the breakwaters. The eastern end of the beach is backed by the Emu Point park, with beachfront houses behind the western end.
