Beach WA 425 commences on the southern side of the point and trends southwest for 300 m to a prominent cuspate foreland formed in lee of an inshore reef, with the beach just attached to the inner reef. The beach receives waves averaging about 1 m, which break across a 30 m wide low tide terrace, which decreases in width towards the foreland. The beach is bordered by the point and reef and backed by a densely vegetated 10 m high, 100 m wide foredune then farmland. The Perkins Beach Road terminates on the southern side of the foreland at a small car park. The Kennedy Youth Camp is located in lee of the foreland.
