Beach WA 439 is a 100 m long strip of sand at the base of densely vegetated steep slopes rising to 140 m. It lies to the lee of a continuous beachrock reef located 20-30 m offshore, with an irregular lagoon between the reef and beach. The eastern end of the beach and backing slopes protrude seaward to attach to the reef, with an elongate lagoon extending to the west. Rock debris litters the beach and the high waves break on the reef. To the west of beach WA 439, 100 m plus high calcarenite cliffs extend for 9 km west-northwest to beach WA 440.
