Cordinup Beach (WA 357) is 1.6 km long and commences on the western side of the 50 m wide rocks, the sand linking the beaches behind the rocks, with beachrock continuing for 300 m west along the beach. The centre of the beach is backed by the Corindup River and active dunes, with bluffs rising to 80 m along the western half. The bluffs terminate at a gneiss headland that protrudes 400 m seaward affording some protection to the western end of the beach. Waves average 2 m in the east decreasing to 1.5 m in the west, with a continuous rip-dominated surf zone that narrows from 200 m in the east to 50 m in the west. Active dune transgression from the river mouth area and the eastern half of beaches WA 356 and 357, has blown up over the backing 50 m high bluffs and up to 1.5 km to the east. These overlie earlier dunes that extended up to 2 km east almost reaching beach WA 355. Farmland commences 1 km in from the river mouth with a vehicle track running along the top of the western bluffs.
