South Warriup Creek beach (WA 361) blocks the small creek mouth. The beach is 1.5 km long and faces south-southeast, with a sloping rocky point separating it from beach WA 359, and a 100 m high headland protruding 400 m to the south at the western end. The beach receives waves averaging between 1.5-2 m, which break across a 100 m wide rip-dominated surf zone, with usually 4-5 beach rips. The creek mouth is blocked by a plug of active dunes, which in the past have climbed up the eastern 100 m high slopes and transgressed up and over the eastern headland and down onto beach WA 359, 500 m to the east. A vehicle track runs down the slide of the southern bluffs to reach the beach and a solitary fishing shack located half way up the bluffs.
